Several years ago we came across a pinball show. Upon entering the cacophony of sounds and flashing lights an idea sparked to tell the story of pinball. We wanted this story to be told by the players, collectors, designers and fans themselves from across the globe. Little known to us was that this American invention made more money than Hollywood through the 50s and 60s. Its success swept the world making it the epitome of ‘cool’. But today pinball is all but forgotten. A game, a sport, a lifestyle – pinball takes this eclectic bunch of self-confessed ‘pinheads’ back to their youth as they open up passionately to reveal the attractions of the ‘world’s funnest toy’.

In a ridiculously ambitious timeframe STEAM was engaged to produce a half hour TV special for the “Making of / Behind the scenes of How to Train Your Dragon – Arena Spectacular.”

With a little under a week and a half before delivery of the final show to Channel Seven in Melbourne we wrote, shot, edited and finish the entire television show in just under a week and a half. Yeah…that’s crazy.
